It is with great sadness that I am writing this post for the loss of the sunshine of my life. To wake up in a nightmare that doesn’t end. To wake up next to a body grown cold, when you remember returning from dinner the prior night, hand in hand, glimpsing the full moon peaking through the clouds and trees overhead. To have your near and distant future crushed. To feel an internal ache, a pounding in your head. Times of sorrow and utter shock.
While writing a eulogy, my spirit lifts as I remember Darla’s smile, the sparkle in her eyes, the soft warmth of her hands, the fun places we’ve been. While grieving, I hope you to can remember the good times you shared, the jokes, the laughs, the tears the smiles. Darla lit up the room with her quiet grace. I will miss you deeply. I will remember you forever my love. : (
